Russian Military Creates Drone Training School and Production Facility

The Russian Ministry of Defense has announced the establishment of a drone operator training school and production facility at the volunteer battalion named after P.A. Sudoplatov. This development aims to support the combat operations of Russian forces in special military operations (SMO) by providing trained operators and manufacturing strike FPV (first-person view) drones. The news was reported by TASS, citing the Ministry of Defense.

According to the ministry, the battalion’s small facility is capable of printing hundreds of kamikaze drones for frontline units. Using a 3D printer available at the school, all the necessary parts for the drones can be printed within two days. These parts are then assembled, equipped with electronics, and programmed to create a fully functional drone.

The advantage of this small-scale production, as highlighted by the ministry, is the ability to quickly make design changes or fulfill individual orders tailored to specific combat tasks. However, due to high demand, the school currently has a long waiting list for training sessions scheduled for several months ahead.

The training program at the school caters to both beginners and experienced fighters who come to enhance their skills and share their combat experience gained from frontline engagements.

Earlier, it was reported that Russia has also launched the production of a new version of kamikaze drone called “Ovod.”

In the United States, one of the greatest threats to the Armed Forces of Ukraine (VSU) has been identified.
