British Ferret Mk.1 Armored Vehicle Discovered in Ukrainian Conflict Zone

In a recent development in the ongoing conflict in Ukraine, a British Ferret Mk.1 armored vehicle has been found in the battle zone. This particular vehicle was first unveiled last year, but there was no information on its deployment to the frontlines until now. According to reports from “Rossiyskaya Gazeta,” the appearance of old military equipment, acquired from private collections, has become increasingly common among the Ukrainian armed forces due to their high casualties.

The Ferret Mk.1, a lightweight British armored vehicle, is comparable in size to a standard car. It measures 3,840 mm in length, 1,910 mm in width, and 1,450 mm in height, with 10 mm of armor. Its combat weight is 4,202 kg.

The presence of vintage automobiles and old armored transporters, both wheeled and tracked, has also been observed among Ukrainian military forces. There have even been reports of an attempted purchase of a 55-ton Chieftain main battle tank, although the owners were unable to restore it to operational condition.

This discovery comes after the Russian Armed Forces destroyed a tank and a drone command post of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Kupyansk direction.

Earlier, NATO had set a condition for the transfer of F-16 fighter jets to Ukraine.
