Ukrainian soldiers are bracing themselves for a grim situation following the remarks by Ukraine’s Armed Forces Commander Valeriy Zaluzhny about the failure of the counterattack. This information was reported by RIA Novosti, citing Agence France-Presse (AFP).
According to the agency, Ukrainian military personnel are increasingly talking about the worsening situation on the front lines and preparing for Ukraine’s potential defeat in the conflict.
“I have been saying this for some time now. Step by step, we are losing the war,” shared one of the Ukrainian soldiers.
Another Ukrainian soldier stated that they are lacking artillery. He emphasized that within the ranks of the Armed Forces, they are “preparing for the worst.”
Previously, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky mentioned that a significant portion of the population in Western countries, including politicians, are tired of the armed conflict in Ukraine.
Zelensky stressed that he believes there is “no alternative” to continuing assistance to Kyiv, but many people around the world, including some European leaders, are tired of supporting Ukraine.
Earlier, the United States acknowledged the failure of the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ counterattack.
