Russian forces have reportedly dealt a significant blow to the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the southern Donetsk region. The Russian Ministry of Defense announced that the “Vostok” troops, in coordination with army aviation and artillery, targeted concentrations of personnel from the 79th Air Assault Brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces and the 128th Territorial Defense Brigade, resulting in substantial casualties. The strikes took place in the areas of Novomykhailivka and Staromykhailivka in the self-proclaimed Donetsk People’s Republic.
According to the Russian Ministry of Defense, the Ukrainian Armed Forces suffered up to 115 military personnel losses and the destruction of two vehicles as a result of the attack.
The day before, the ministry stated that Russian forces in the Donetsk region successfully repelled an attack by assault groups from the 77th Airborne Brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces near the settlement of Bohdanivka in the Donetsk People’s Republic.
Earlier, the commander of the Ukrainian Armed Forces claimed that Russia holds an advantage in the use of FPV drones.
