In a recent military operation in the Gaza Strip, the Israeli Air Force has successfully supported ground forces and targeted any threats to the interests of the Jewish state in the Middle East region, according to Israeli Defense Forces spokesperson General Daniel Hageri.
General Hageri mentioned that Chief of the General Staff of the Israel Defense Forces, Gadi Eizenkot, visited the Nevatim Airbase, where the latest Israeli fighter jets, known as “Adir,” are stationed.
The IDF spokesperson emphasized that the “Adir” fighters have been effectively striking terrorists and providing assistance to ground troops from very close range, up to 200 meters. Israeli aircraft are protecting infantry soldiers advancing into the Gaza Strip.
Hageri highlighted that the air force is capable of launching strikes throughout the Middle East in response to any threat to Israel’s security.
It was previously reported that the United States intends to provide Israel with a batch of high-precision aviation bombs worth $320 million.
Earlier, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu vowed to destroy Hamas.
