A California homeowner fought off an armed robbery attempt by pulling out a concealed handgun, in video obtained by FOX 11 Los Angeles. The incident, which occurred on Saturday evening, was captured on home surveillance cameras and has left the homeowner feeling grateful to be alive. The video footage shows the homeowner walking up to his Los Angeles house, holding a drink in one hand and reaching for his keys in his pocket. Little did he know that he was being followed home. As he had earbuds in, he was unaware of someone running up behind him until he felt the cold barrel of a gun pressed against him.
Reacting swiftly, the homeowner threw his drink at one of the alleged suspects before retrieving his own weapon and firing. Thanks to his concealed carry license, he was able to turn the tables on the perpetrators, protecting his wife and children inside the home. Remarkably, the homeowner emerged unscathed from the incident, but he remains uncertain if any of his bullets hit the would-be robbers.
In an interview, the homeowner expressed his determination to defend his household if faced with a similar situation in the future, stating, “If anybody else ever tries to come, they’re going to die for trying to come in this house. There was one shot to get in, and that was it.”
The Los Angeles Police Department is currently investigating the incident. While the suspects’ descriptions have not been released, authorities are working diligently to apprehend them.
