An American strategic nuclear submarine of the Ohio class has arrived in the Middle East, according to a report from RIA Novosti, citing the US Central Command’s (CENTCOM) page on the social network X.
As per the information provided by CENTCOM, the Ohio-class submarine has entered the responsibility zone of the US Central Command.
Earlier, it was reported that the aircraft carrier Dwight Eisenhower had arrived in the responsibility zone of the CENTCOM forces in the Middle East.
On October 31, Pentagon spokesman Patrick Ryder announced that the US would be deploying an additional 300 troops to the responsibility zone of the US Central Command in the Middle East.
It was previously reported that Israel had deployed its submarine fleet in the Mediterranean Sea to counter Iran and the Lebanese Shiite organization, Hezbollah. Since the beginning of the conflict, the Israeli 7th submarine flotilla has been stationed in the Mediterranean Sea.
Hamas had earlier claimed that the West had erected an “unbreakable wall” between itself and the Arab world.
