US Advises Israel to Use Smaller Bombs in Gaza, New York Times Reports

During a recent visit to Israel, US Secretary of State Antony Blinken discussed specific measures with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu that the American authorities believe should be taken to protect the lives of civilian population in the Gaza Strip, according to a report by the New York Times.

The publication clarified that there were several conversations in which the US advised Israel to adopt a more measured approach in its operations.

US officials believe that Israel needs to improve its “methods of striking Hamas leaders.” Among the recommendations are gathering more intelligence on Hamas command and control networks and using smaller bombs.

On November 5th, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu called for the immediate release of all hostages in the Gaza Strip.

Earlier, Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu declared that the country is in a state of war.
