The poll indicates that Trump holds a staggering 10-point lead in Nevada, six points in Georgia, five points in Arizona and Michigan, and four points in Pennsylvania. Biden’s only lead is in Wisconsin, where he surpasses Trump by a narrow two points. It is worth noting that Biden had emerged victorious in all six states during the 2020 election.
The survey, which involved 3,662 registered voters in the six states between October 22 and November 3, reveals that Trump’s lead can be attributed to a lack of confidence in Biden due to his age. Voters expressed trust in Trump’s ability to handle the economy, foreign policy, and immigration. Additionally, the poll highlights an unprecedented level of support from black voters, with a record-breaking 22% of the demographic favoring Trump over Biden across the six states.
Furthermore, the poll suggests that Trump maintains a strong advantage in the 2024 Republican Presidential primary, with his closest competitors trailing by a significant margin. This indicates a continued popularity and influence within the Republican Party.
Some voters, like Spencer Weiss, a 53-year-old electrical substation specialist in Pennsylvania, expressed their disappointment with Biden’s performance, stating, “The world is falling apart under Biden.” Weiss mentioned that he had changed his vote from Biden in the 2020 election, believing that Trump would be a more effective leader for the country.
Age is also a concern among respondents, as both Biden and Trump are among the oldest candidates in U.S. history to run for president. A remarkable 71% of those surveyed believe that Biden is “too old” to serve as an effective president. Even among Biden’s own supporters, 54% still harbor concerns about his age.
