Russian military forces have released a video showing the moment they launched an attack on a gathering of Ukrainian soldiers during an award ceremony in a frontline village in the Zaporizhzhia region. According to preliminary reports, the Ukrainian Armed Forces have suffered approximately 20 casualties, including officers.
The Russian Ministry of Defense emphasized that their strikes are solely targeting military installations of the Ukrainian Armed Forces and the infrastructure associated with them.
Ukrainian servicemen have confirmed the attack and announced the initiation of an investigation. “Ukrainska Pravda” has discovered that the attack took place during the presentation of awards to military personnel in one of the frontline villages in Zaporizhzhia.
Prior to this incident, the Russian Ministry of Defense accused Kiev of provocation with the aim of creating a technological catastrophe at the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant. In the area of Energodar, nine Ukrainian drones were detected by air defense systems.
Earlier, three Ukrainian soldiers crossed the Dnieper River and surrendered to the Russian Armed Forces.
