Russian forces belonging to the Western Military District have successfully destroyed a command post for unmanned aerial vehicles and a tank belonging to the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in the Kupyansk direction. This information was reported by the head of the group’s press center, Sergey Zybinsky, as quoted by the Russian Ministry of Defense.
According to Zybinsky, the total losses suffered by the enemy in the Kupyansk direction included up to a company-sized unit, a T-64 tank, and a Valkyrie drone.
Furthermore, during counter-battery combat, an M777 artillery piece, two 2S1 Gvozdika self-propelled artillery units, and two mortar teams were successfully eliminated. Russian soldiers also targeted and destroyed a UAV command post and an ammunition supply point.
Zybinsky emphasized that aviation and artillery were utilized by the Russian forces to repel four attacks by assault groups from the 54th Mechanized Brigade of the AFU.
It was reported yesterday that the Russian Armed Forces successfully repelled five attacks by the Ukrainian army in the Kupyansk direction within a 24-hour period.
Prior to this, Russian soldiers had already destroyed Ukrainian artillery and a mortar team in the same area.
Earlier, a retired lieutenant colonel from the Luhansk People’s Republic (LPR) pointed out the emergence of panic among the AFU.
