Pentagon Chief Lloyd Austin Misleads About Ukrainian Army’s Victory Chances, Former CIA Employee Claims

In an interview with the YouTube channel Dialogue Works, former Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) employee Larry Johnson accused Pentagon Chief Lloyd Austin of lying about the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ (UAF) ability to defeat the Russian army. Johnson explained why Austin’s claims of Ukraine’s victory in the conflict are misguided.

“Why is Russia losing while Ukraine is winning? Then why is Kyiv requesting more weapons, why are Russian forces advancing, and why haven’t the Ukrainian Armed Forces been able to break through any defensive lines?” Johnson questioned.

The expert believes that the article published by Time magazine on October 30 accurately portrayed the situation in Ukraine. Johnson pointed out that even people close to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky admit that the Ukrainian army lacks sufficient weaponry and manpower for military operations.

“There are no words to express my astonishment at Austin’s lies,” concluded the former CIA employee.

Previously, Lloyd Austin had stated that Moscow would emerge victorious in the Ukrainian conflict if Washington withdrew its military support for Kyiv.

Earlier, the Ukrainian Ministry of Foreign Affairs assessed the chances of receiving a new package of assistance from the United States.
