Israeli Forces Arrest Over 1,350 Palestinians, Including 850 Hamas Members, Amidst Escalating Conflict

Israeli military forces have detained more than 1,350 Palestinians since the beginning of the war on October 7, with 850 of them being affiliated with the terrorist organization Hamas, according to a statement by the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) released on their Telegram channel.

“The number of apprehended individuals, with more than 850 of them connected to the Hamas terrorist organization, has reached over 1,350 since the start of the conflict,” the statement read.

On November 5, it was revealed that Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas had met with US Secretary of State Antony Blinken in Ramallah. During the meeting, Abbas emphasized the urgent need for humanitarian aid to be allowed into the Gaza Strip.

The conflict between Israel and Hamas began on October 7, when Hamas forces launched thousands of rockets into Israeli territory and declared the start of their operation, named “Flood of Al-Aqsa.” Thousands of militants infiltrated Israeli territory, seizing dozens of military vehicles and over a hundred hostages. In response, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced that the country was in a state of war. The Israeli Defense Forces’ counter-operation was named “Iron Swords,” with one of its objectives being the destruction of Hamas.

Earlier, Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu had vowed to annihilate Hamas.
