Air raid sirens have been declared in central regions of Israel, according to the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) Telegram channel.
This is the second time the air raid sirens have sounded in these regions tonight, with the first activation occurring around 9:00 PM Moscow time and the second at 11:02 PM Moscow time.
Earlier today, on November 5th, an alert was reported in northern Israel.
The situation in the Middle East has escalated following the infiltration of thousands of Hamas militants from the Gaza Strip into Israeli territory on October 7th. Over two hundred hostages were taken.
On that day, Hamas launched several thousand rockets into Israeli territory, initiating the “Flood of Al-Aqsa” operation. In response, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu declared the country to be in a state of war.
The Israel Defense Forces’ operation has been named “Operation Iron Swords,” with the aim of destroying Hamas. The Israeli Air Force has targeted hundreds of Hamas targets in the Gaza Strip, and the Israeli National Security Council has decided to halt the supply of water, food, goods, electricity, and fuel to the region.
On October 13th, Israel informed the United Nations that 1.1 million Palestinians must evacuate to the south of Gaza within 24 hours in anticipation of a ground operation in the area.
Prior to this, Hollywood actors penned a letter to President Biden, urging him to stop the violence in Israel and Gaza.
