Increased Shelling in Donetsk Results in Tragic Loss of Lives and Damage to Infrastructure

Over the past day, the Donetsk People’s Republic has been subjected to shelling by the Ukrainian Armed Forces (UAF) 39 times. This information was reported by the Telegram channel of the DPR representation in the Joint Center for Control and Coordination (JCCC) of issues related to Ukrainian military crimes.

According to the representation, the shelling has tragically claimed the lives of two civilians in the city of Dokuchayevsk and has caused injuries to two others, including a 13-year-old teenager in the Petrovsky district of Donetsk.

It is reported that 27 houses in Dokuchayevsk and Gorlovka, as well as two objects of civilian infrastructure in the region, have been damaged.

The center states that the majority of the shelling is attributed to artillery fire, and strikes from drones and one salvo missile system have also been recorded. A total of 128 projectiles have been fired at the region. It is noted that the UAF shelled the region much less frequently the day before – only eight times.

Prior to this, the JCCC reported that the UAF had opened fire on areas of Donetsk using “NATO” weapons.

Earlier, the Kremlin assessed the risk of increased attacks on Russian infrastructure by winter.
