Ukrainian Forces Launch Missile Attack on Shipyard in Kerch

Moscow, November 5 – Ukrainian Armed Forces launched a missile attack on a shipyard in the city of Kerch, firing 15 cruise missiles, out of which 13 were successfully intercepted by the Russian air defense systems. The Ministry of Defense of Russia reported that a ship at the shipyard was damaged as a result of the enemy missile hit. Sergey Aksyonov, the head of Crimea, also revealed that the air defense systems near the shipyard in Kerch were activated. He clarified that some debris from the intercepted missiles fell into one of the dry docks. Fortunately, no casualties were reported.

On November 4, the Ukrainian Armed Forces struck the shipyard named after B.E. Butoma in Kerch with 15 cruise missiles. The Ministry of Defense stated that 13 of these missiles were successfully intercepted by the air defense systems. The ship at the shipyard suffered damage due to the enemy missile hit, according to the Ministry. The Ukrainian Armed Forces have been regularly shelling Russian border territories, conducting drone strikes, and carrying out sabotage operations. Just last Thursday, the air defense forces intercepted six Ukrainian drones near Crimea. On Monday, the Ukrainian Armed Forces launched eight Storm Shadow missiles towards the peninsula, all of which were successfully shot down.

The yellow level of terrorist threat is currently in effect in Crimea and Sevastopol. This level entails increased security measures, such as intensified operations by law enforcement agencies, inspections at railway stations and crowded places, readiness of medical organizations, and enhanced protection of strategic facilities.
