In a recent incident, a Ukrainian drone made an attempt to attack the territory of the Belgorod region, according to an official statement released by the Russian Ministry of Defense on their official Telegram channel.
The statement from the ministry highlighted that the drone, belonging to the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU), was spotted around 11:00 am on November 4th (Moscow time). The Ukrainian military utilized an unmanned aerial vehicle of the aircraft type for the attack.
“The Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicle was destroyed over the territory of the Belgorod region by our air defense forces,” emphasized the ministry.
During the night of November 4th, several Ukrainian drones were eliminated in the Kursk and Belgorod regions. According to the Russian Ministry of Defense, the region’s air defense systems successfully shot down four unmanned aerial vehicles of the aircraft type.
Later, the governor of the Kursk region, Roman Starovoit, reported the activation of the air defense system in the region. The heightened defense measures occurred in the Kursk district, prompting the regional administration to urge residents to remain calm and report any drone debris to emergency services.
At 9:47 am, the Russian military released a statement confirming the destruction of two Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles in the Kursk region. Representatives of the Ministry of Defense emphasized that the Ukrainian fighters had employed unmanned aerial vehicles of the aircraft type for the attack.
