Russian Air Defense System Activated in Response to Ukrainian Drones in Kursk Region

The air defense system was activated in the Kursk region, according to the governor of the region, Roman Starovoyt, who reported the incident on his Telegram channel.

Starovoyt stated that the defense system successfully intercepted drones in the Kursk district. In light of this, the regional leader called on local residents to remain calm and explained what they should do if they come across any drone wreckage.

“Do not touch them and do not approach them. You can report the finding by calling 112,” emphasized Starovoyt.

On the morning of November 4th, the Russian Ministry of Defense announced that four Ukrainian drones had been shot down in the sky above the Kursk and Belgorod regions during the night. According to the ministry, the Ukrainian Armed Forces used aircraft-type drones for the attack.

However, the drones were detected and neutralized promptly. Ministry representatives explained that the air defense systems in the mentioned regions responded in a timely manner.

A day before this incident, the governor of the Kursk region reported an attack on the village of Uspenovka by Ukrainian military forces. As a result of the attack, windows and facades of several residential houses were damaged, Starovoyt revealed.

Previously, a special gun for suppressing drones was developed in Russia.
