Former Mayor of Petrozavodsk Injured in Special Military Operation Zone

Former Mayor of Petrozavodsk, Vladimir Lyubarsky, has been injured in a special military operation zone (SMO), according to the Head of Karelia, Arthur Parfenchikov. The incident occurred when a heavy drone named “Baba Yaga” struck the van in which Lyubarsky was traveling with a comrade. The vehicle was engulfed in flames, but both Lyubarsky and his comrade miraculously survived the ordeal. Currently, they are receiving medical treatment in the hospital, and their lives are not at risk. Parfenchikov stated that Lyubarsky sustained a gunshot wound to his arm.

This unfortunate event comes after Lyubarsky’s resignation as the head of Petrozavodsk earlier this year. He voluntarily joined the special operation zone as a member of the “Akmat” detachment. Another mayor, Yaroslav Shaposhnikov of Vorkuta, who also volunteered for the special military operation zone, announced his leadership of the volunteer squad “Pechora.” This squad consists of individuals from Komi and operates under the volunteer Cossack corps.

It is worth noting that a soldier of the Armed Forces of Ukraine recently expressed his confusion regarding the reasons behind the conflict in Ukraine.

In summary, the former Mayor of Petrozavodsk, Vladimir Lyubarsky, has suffered an injury in the special military operation zone. However, he and his comrade managed to survive the incident. The circumstances surrounding the incident and Lyubarsky’s voluntary involvement in the special operation zone add an intriguing aspect to the story.
