Russian Defense Ministry Releases Video of Heroic Sergeant Destroying Ukrainian Armored Vehicles

The Russian Defense Ministry has recently published footage of a battle involving Sergeant Yuriy Shcherbakov, the commander of an anti-tank guided missile unit, who has been awarded the title of Hero of Russia. The video recording was shared on the military department’s Telegram channel.

The footage shows the objective control system destroying at least ten Ukrainian armored vehicles.

According to the ministry, Sergeant Shcherbakov was honored with the “Golden Star” medal for his unit’s destruction of nine tanks, four armored personnel carriers (APCs), 12 infantry fighting vehicles (IFVs), four trucks carrying ammunition, two platoon strongpoints, and over 100 Ukrainian militants during a special operation.

Shcherbakov stated that his anti-tank missile system unit successfully halted the advance of the Ukrainian Armed Forces on the positions of neighboring units.

“I heard that there was an attack on our neighboring unit. I opened fire and continued until the attack was completely repelled,” the soldier said.

Earlier, the Ministry of Defense reported on the successes achieved on the South Donetsk direction.

Previously, Russian forces had secured more advantageous positions on the Kupyansk direction.
