Kidnapped Women Rescued in St. Louis Hotel, Suspects at Large

After an intense 48-hour search, New York State Police have located nine-year-old Charlotte Sena, who had been reported missing. The authorities have also taken 46-year-old Craig Ross into custody, where he is currently being held without bail. In a separate incident, two women aged 21 and 36 were rescued from a hotel in St. Louis, thanks to a “bizarre call” made by the hotel staff. The women had been held captive for 10 days, starting from a supposed “moving job” in Florida. The suspects then transported them to Atlanta and eventually to St. Louis, leaving the women terrified about their fate.

The women pleaded with the hotel employees for help when their captors briefly left them alone. The St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department spokesperson, Sgt. Charles Wall, revealed that it was only in Atlanta that the women were informed they would not be allowed to leave. The exact duration of their stay at the downtown Hampton Inn hotel in St. Louis remains unknown.

One of the suspects, Nikki Rebarcak, 41, was arrested after the hotel staff alerted the police about her presence in the building. Rebarcak has been charged with two counts of kidnapping but was released on her own recognizance. Two other male suspects managed to escape, raising concerns about a potential human trafficking ring. The St. Louis police are now collaborating with federal law enforcement and prosecutors to determine if this incident is isolated or part of a larger criminal network.

Sgt. Wall emphasized that if the suspects have connections with other agencies and similar incidents across the country, it could indicate the existence of a broader ring involved in such criminal activities. The police have identified one of Rebarcak’s alleged co-defendants and are actively searching for him.

The involvement of a hotel in this case has also raised questions about the potential complicity of hotel ownership. However, they have yet to respond to requests for comment.

Law enforcement agencies are urging anyone with information related to this case or similar incidents to come forward. The fear of human trafficking has intensified, and authorities are determined to ensure the safety of potential victims.
