In a recent development, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) announced that Israeli airstrikes targeted an ambulance allegedly being used by the Palestinian Islamist movement Hamas. The IDF shared this information through its Telegram channel.
The IDF emphasized that as a result of the Israeli strike, Hamas lost several fighters. Additional details about the situation will be released later, according to the publication. The Israeli intelligence agencies have been briefed on the incident.
The IDF also stated that the area where the strike took place is a zone of active conflict. The Israeli side claims that civilians in this area were urged to evacuate to the south for their safety.
Prior to this incident, the IDF had discovered and neutralized several tunnels belonging to the Hamas group during special operations in the Gaza sector.

On October 13th, Israel informed the United Nations that 1.1 million Palestinians must evacuate to the south of Gaza within 24 hours in anticipation of a ground operation in the area.
