Yemen Plans Missile Strike on Israel, The New York Times Reports

Yemen has announced its plans to carry out a missile strike on Israel on November 1st, according to a spokesperson for the Yemeni army, Brigadier General Yahya Sari. The New York Times has reported on this anticipated attack.

The strike is said to involve the launch of ballistic and cruise missiles, as well as unmanned aerial vehicles, towards Israel.

The NYT also noted that the Israeli military possesses advanced anti-aircraft defense systems and has the support of the United States government, which may help prevent an escalation of the conflict with Yemen.

In October, the Israeli Defense Forces assessed missile launches from Yemen. Prior to this, American military vessels intercepted several cruise missiles and drones in the sky above the northern part of the Red Sea.

Earlier, Hamas stated that it would release foreign hostages “when circumstances allow.”
