US Denies Sending Troops to Gaza, Discusses Post-Conflict Plans

The United States has stated that it has no plans to send American troops to Gaza, neither now nor in the future, according to John Kirby, the coordinator for strategic communications at the White House National Security Council. This statement comes amid discussions between Washington and its partners on what Gaza should look like after the conflict, including the possibility of some form of international presence on its territory.

Just yesterday, Pentagon spokesperson Patrick Ryder announced that the US would be sending an additional 300 troops to the US Central Command’s responsibility zone in the Middle East. However, Kirby clarified that this deployment does not involve the Gaza Strip.

Kirby had previously stated on October 31 that the United States currently has no plans to directly participate in the military actions in the Palestinian-Israeli conflict zone. However, former Palestinian ambassador to France, Salman Harfi, had claimed that American troops were involved in the fighting in the Gaza sector on the side of Israel, providing on-the-ground support.

The escalation of the Palestinian-Israeli conflict has been a topic of concern, with political analysts attributing various reasons to its intensification.
