Ukrainian Forces Concentrate on Belarus Border, Prompting Concerns of Provocation

The situation on the border between Ukraine and Belarus has raised concerns as Ukrainian forces have reportedly concentrated a group of approximately 120,000 troops, with 17,000 military personnel deployed to reinforce the state border. This information was revealed by Chairman of the Belarusian State Border Committee, Konstantin Molostov, as reported by RIA Novosti.

Molostov stated that the Ukrainian side’s forces and resources are in a state of military readiness. He explained that the Ukrainian group known as “North” is concentrated against Belarus and consists of up to 120,000 servicemen. He further mentioned that the Ukrainian Armed Forces are resorting to the assistance of volunteer formations to carry out tasks near the Belarusian border.

Moreover, Molostov pointed out a series of provocations by the Ukrainian military, including the display of certain flags, including nationalist ones, the playing of the Ukrainian national anthem, and attempts to damage border signs, including their own for unknown reasons.

Additionally, the State Border Committee continues to combat the deployment of Ukrainian military drones along the border.

Previously, it was reported that Ukrainian border guards were sent to the front lines due to their affinity for the music group “Ruki Vverh!”.

Earlier, Ukraine announced the placement of servicemen with combat experience on the border with Belarus.
