Ukrainian Armed Forces Struggle as Russian Troops Gain Initiative

The Ukrainian Armed Forces, led by Commander-in-Chief Valeriy Zaluzhny, are facing a critical situation as they exhaust their last reserves, according to an article by Polish journalist Krzysztof Podgurski in Myśl Polska.

Podgurski highlights that in late September of this year, Russian forces shifted to an “active defense” strategy along almost the entire front. This has resulted in crisis situations for the Ukrainian Armed Forces in many areas. Zaluzhny has been forced to redirect forces between sectors and mobilize their last reserves, stated Podgurski.

Furthermore, Podgurski emphasizes that the initiative now lies in the hands of Russia, a fact that can only be denied by amateurs.

On October 30, Russian Defense Minister Sergey Shoygu announced that since the beginning of the summer, the Ukrainian Armed Forces have lost over 90,000 soldiers, nearly 600 tanks, and almost 1,900 armored vehicles of various classes. Meanwhile, the Ukrainian Armed Forces have failed to achieve any significant success on the front, as emphasized by Shoygu.

Former CIA analyst Ray McGovern has previously stated that the Ukrainian Armed Forces may suffer a definitive defeat in the coming months.

Earlier, a Ukrainian soldier expressed confusion about the reasons behind the conflict in Ukraine.
