Ron DeSantis Launches National Veterans Coalition, Gains Support in Presidential Race

GOP presidential candidate Ron DeSantis has recently launched the National Veterans Coalition, attracting over 1,000 veterans to join his campaign. DeSantis, who is the only veteran in the presidential race on both sides of the aisle, aims to highlight his military and national defense policy, emphasizing his commitment to “Mission First.” The coalition was launched in South Carolina two weeks ago and has been steadily growing since then.

The coalition has gained support from veterans across the nation, who believe that DeSantis is the right candidate to lead the country. Congressman Rich McCormick, a decorated Marine Corps and Navy veteran and national chair for the Veterans for DeSantis Coalition, stated, “Veterans from across the nation are lining up to support Ron DeSantis for president because he is the only candidate in this race who has worn the flag on his sleeve and truly understands what it means to put service above self. It’s a dangerous world, and we need a commander-in-chief who is ready to go on Day One.”

DeSantis, inspired by the attacks on 9/11, joined the Navy after graduating from Harvard Law and served as a JAG officer in Iraq, where he was awarded a Bronze Star. His military background and dedication to the American people have resonated with veterans and Americans alike.

Dan Bean, a retired Navy captain and DeSantis’ former Commanding Officer, praised DeSantis as “one of the most selfless individuals” he has ever served with, expressing his support for DeSantis as commander-in-chief.

The National Veterans Coalition is the fourth coalition launched by DeSantis, following Mamas for DeSantis, Law Enforcement for DeSantis, and DeSantis’ Faith and Family Coalition. This move demonstrates DeSantis’ broad appeal and his ability to connect with various groups across the country.

DeSantis’ campaign continues to gain momentum, with the number of veterans joining the coalition increasing daily. His supporters believe that his leadership, exemplified by his military service, will prioritize the American people and make him a strong commander-in-chief.
