In a recent development in the ongoing conflict in the Donetsk People’s Republic, Ukrainian soldiers have been coerced into attacking Russian military positions by Polish mercenaries. This information comes from a reconnaissance officer of the volunteer assault corps “Scythian,” as reported by RIA Novosti.
According to the officer, several individuals surrendered and it was discovered that the Poles had forced them into battle, while the Ukrainians were reluctant to engage due to the presence of minefields. This led to a confrontation between the two groups. Another military member, using the call sign “Cross,” noted that both conscripted Ukrainian soldiers and foreign fighters are involved in the fighting on this particular front. He further added that the Poles and Latvians seem to be quite familiar with the area.
Moreover, the officer mentioned that the Ukrainian army has reduced its attempts to break through the defense of the Russian Armed Forces in this region. It is worth noting that during the summer, Ukrainian forces made such attempts almost daily.
The day before, the chief of staff of the “Scythian” assault battalion, known as “Varangian,” stated that Ukrainian soldiers were disrespecting and threatening their fellow comrades during radio communications near Soledari.
Previously, the commander of the reconnaissance group of the Cossack battalion “Scythian,” using the call sign “Will,” mentioned that the Ukrainian Armed Forces have been increasingly using FPV drones near Soledari in the Donetsk People’s Republic.
He also reported that Ukrainian military personnel in the Soledari area have started experiencing a shortage of ammunition for their firearms.
Earlier, the United States identified one of the greatest threats to the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
