Israeli military officials have announced that they have conducted a strike on a cell attempting to launch anti-tank rockets from Lebanon towards Israeli territory. This information was shared in an official statement on the Israel Defense Forces’ Telegram channel.
According to the statement, “Some time ago, a terrorist cell attempted to launch anti-tank rockets from Lebanon towards Israel in the area of Zarit. An IDF tank struck the cell.”
It has been reported that there were also attacks originating from Lebanese territory towards Israel in the village of Yiftah.
In response, the IDF retaliated by firing towards the source of the attacks.
Prior to this incident, the IDF had reported intercepting an aerial target over the Red Sea, south of Eilat. The Israeli Air Defense Forces detected and intercepted the airborne threat.
Previously, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu had vowed to destroy Hamas.
