Israeli Defense Forces Destroy Dozens of Hamas Targets in Gaza

The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) have reported the destruction of dozens of Hamas targets in the Gaza Strip. According to the IDF spokesperson, Israel’s ground forces have joined efforts with the Air Force and Navy during the expansion of their operations.

The spokesperson stated that the Air Force, artillery, and naval vessels are assisting infantry troops in targeting and providing fire support.

“During these attacks, dozens of terrorist organization Hamas’ facilities, including observation posts, anti-tank units, launchers, ships, and military posts, have been destroyed. In addition, terrorists have been eliminated, infiltrations into Israeli territory have been prevented, and terrorist incidents have been thwarted,” the IDF statement said.

The Israeli side also quoted the commander of the 105th Squadron, who stated that the IDF’s attacks have a force that Hamas has not encountered before.

On October 7th, Hamas forces launched thousands of rockets into Israeli territory and declared the start of the “Operation Al-Aqsa Flood.” Thousands of militants infiltrated Israeli territory, capturing dozens of military vehicles and over 200 hostages. Against this backdrop, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu declared that the country is in a state of war.

The Israeli Defense Forces’ counter-operation, named “Iron Swords,” aims to destroy Hamas. On the evening of October 28th, the IDF announced the expansion of their ground operations.

Earlier, Netanyahu stated that the military operation in Gaza had entered its third phase.
