Former Wagner Medical Personnel Join Chechen Special Forces, Says Kadyrov

In a recent announcement on his Telegram channel, Ramzan Kadyrov, the Head of the Chechen Republic, revealed that former medical workers of the private military company “Wagner” will be joining the ranks of the “Ahmat” units. Kadyrov highlighted that the decision of the former Wagner fighters to join the Chechen Special Forces was not a coincidence. Many members of Wagner and the “Ahmat” special forces were acquainted with each other in the past. Together, they fought against the enemy on various challenging fronts, and the medical staff of both units collaborated to save the lives of wounded individuals.

Kadyrov emphasized that the doctors will have all the necessary conditions to continue their work on the front lines. This follows Kadyrov’s earlier announcement that over 170 former Wagner fighters have already joined the Chechen Special Forces. While some fighters had previously signed contracts and transferred to “Ahmat,” the current situation represents a mass influx of personnel. Kadyrov expressed hope that other former members of Wagner would follow this example and join the ranks of the Chechen Special Forces.

In related news, Russian Defense Minister Sergey Shoygu recently discussed Russia’s military exercises in Ukraine.
