Russian Forces Repel Ukrainian Attacks on Kupyansk Frontline

In a recent development on the Kupyansk frontline, Russian forces, with the support of aviation and artillery, successfully repelled nine attacks by Ukrainian troops. The chief spokesperson for the Western Grouping, Sergei Zybinsky, provided updates on the actions of the Russian military to RIA Novosti.

According to Zybinsky, utilizing the results of airstrikes and artillery fire, units of the Western Grouping effectively thwarted nine assaults by the 54th Mechanized and 57th Motorized Infantry Brigades of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the areas of Sinkyvka and Tenkovka.

On October 11th, Zybinsky reported that Russian helicopters and assault aircraft carried out 14 strikes against the Ukrainian brigades on the Kupyansk frontline. These strikes targeted the settlements of Sinkyvka, Ivanivka, Stelmakhovka, and Berestove and involved Ka-52 and Mi-28 helicopters, as well as ground-attack aircraft.

Earlier, on October 7th, Russian forces successfully repelled five counterattacks by the Ukrainian Armed Forces on the Kupyansk frontline. It was also reported that Russian forces conducted strikes against Ukrainian army personnel and equipment in this area.

In a previous statement, Ukrainian President Zelensky mentioned the challenges hindering the country from shifting the hostilities into Russian territory.
