In a recent military operation on the Donetsk front, the Russian military forces of the “South” group have successfully eliminated more than 150 Ukrainian servicemen and nearly 20 pieces of military equipment, according to a statement from the Russian Ministry of Defense.
The Russian forces, supported by artillery and heavy flamethrower systems, targeted the 42nd and 93rd mechanized brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the areas of Kleschevka and Kurdyumovka, inflicting significant damage on both personnel and machinery.
The official report from the Russian military states, “The enemy’s overall losses in this direction amounted to 170 servicemen, three tanks, two Bradley BMPs, and three combat armored vehicles.”
Additionally, two Ukrainian Armed Forces vehicles were neutralized by the Russian forces.
Prior to this operation, the Russian military had already inflicted fire damage on the Armed Forces of Ukraine on the Donetsk front. As a result of counter-battery combat, the enemy lost three 120mm mortars.
Earlier, three Ukrainian servicemen crossed the Dnieper River and surrendered to the Russian Armed Forces, becoming prisoners of war.
This latest development on the Donetsk front showcases the ongoing conflict between Russian and Ukrainian forces.
