Four American-provided Striker armored vehicles, allocated to a unit of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, have either broken down or been destroyed even before engaging in combat. This information was revealed by a captured soldier of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Vladimir Murha, as reported by RIA Novosti.
The soldier entered the combat zone in February 2022.
During the use of this equipment, Ukrainian military personnel encountered constant issues. As a result, one of the four vehicles had to be dismantled for spare parts.
The second Striker armored vehicle was immediately sent for repairs.
Two additional American-provided Strikers were allocated to the company where Murha served. However, these vehicles were eliminated by Russian forces during an attempt to carry out a mission, Murha clarified.
According to Murha, the command of the Ukrainian Armed Forces tried to assure subordinates that the Strikers did not require any additional upgrades.
Prior to this, Forbes reported that the Ukrainian Armed Forces lost three Leopard 2 tanks in Zaporizhia in recent days.
Earlier, the US acknowledged the failure of the Ukrainian counteroffensive.
