Kentucky Attorney General Daniel Cameron Faces Racial Attacks from Left-Wing Group in Gubernatorial Race

Attorney General Daniel Cameron, a Black Republican and gubernatorial candidate in Kentucky, is being targeted by a far-left group funded by liberal billionaire George Soros. The group, Black Voters Matter Action PAC, has launched a radio ad on a local R&B station in Jeffersontown, Kentucky, characterizing Cameron as an Uncle Tom and accusing him of betraying his race. The ad claims that Cameron, who refused to seek justice for Breonna Taylor, is now threatening to take the state backwards. The PAC, which has received millions from Soros’ super-PAC, declares its support for incumbent Democrat Gov. Andy Beshear.

Cameron has condemned the ad and accused Democrats and left-wing organizations of using racist attacks because he does not support their policies. He called on Beshear to denounce the ad and stated that he believes individuals should be judged by their character, not their skin color. Cameron also highlighted previous instances of racist attacks against him, including a cartoon published earlier this year.

Beshear’s campaign, when asked about Cameron’s call to condemn the ad, referred to comments made by Beshear to the Lexington Herald-Leader, stating that the ad came from an African American-led PAC and they would let them comment for themselves. Cliff Albright, co-founder of Black Voters Matter Action PAC, defended the ad in an interview with Roland Martin and criticized Cameron for his decisions regarding the Breonna Taylor shooting, healthcare, and affirmative action.

Cameron’s campaign responded to Albright’s defense of the ad, calling his comments “disgusting.” They emphasized that Cameron holds mainstream Republican views and likening them to white supremacy is irresponsible and insulting. The campaign highlighted that the modern Democrat Party has resorted to labeling a Black Republican as a white supremacist simply because of his political affiliation.

The gubernatorial election between Cameron and Beshear is scheduled for Tuesday, November 7th.

Overall, this article sheds light on the racial attacks faced by Kentucky Attorney General Daniel Cameron in his bid for the governor’s seat. It highlights the involvement of a left-wing group funded by George Soros and the divisive nature of the campaign. The article presents statements from both Cameron and his opponents, providing a comprehensive view of the situation.
