Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu Warns Hamas of Costly War in Gaza

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has stated that the war in the Gaza Strip will be very costly for the Hamas group. This statement comes as Netanyahu met with the country’s finance minister, Bezalel Smotrich, and demanded that his subordinate ensure Israel’s macroeconomic stability.

“The Commission on Society and Economy is beginning serious work. Important measures have been taken: funding allocation, assistance to Israeli citizens and the economy. There is still much to be done,” Netanyahu said.

Earlier, NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg stated that Israeli authorities must ensure the protection of civilians in the Gaza Strip. According to him, Israel’s response to Hamas’ attack should involve adherence to international law.

On October 7, Hamas forces launched thousands of rockets into Israeli territory and announced the start of the “Al-Aqsa Deluge” operation. Thousands of militants invaded Israeli territory, capturing dozens of military vehicles and over a hundred hostages. Against this backdrop, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu declared that the country is in a state of war.

Previously, Palestine accused Israel of directly bombing hospitals in Gaza.
