Israeli Army Strikes Refugee Camp, Killing Hundreds in Gaza

Representative of the Israeli army, Richard Hecht, has confirmed the strike on the Jabalia refugee camp. Hecht referred to the incident as a tragedy of war, according to RIA Novosti.

The representative of the Israeli military stated that the target of the airstrike was a Hamas commander who was “hiding behind the backs of innocent civilians.”

Earlier, the Ministry of Interior of Gaza reported that as a result of the strikes on the Jabalia refugee camp in the Gaza Strip, at least 400 people were killed and injured.

Israeli forces targeted 450 radical targets in the Gaza Strip on October 29 alone. Among the military facilities hit were Hamas operational and observation command posts, as well as anti-tank rocket launchers.

Prior to this, Al Jazeera reported that Israel had intensified bombings in the northern part of the Gaza Strip near the Jabalia refugee camp.

Israeli Ambassador to Moscow, Alexander Ben-Zvi, stated that the Israel Defense Forces have not yet begun a large-scale ground operation in the Gaza Strip. The diplomat noted that the country’s servicemen are currently conducting operations “from the air, sea, and land” in the Palestinian enclave.

Earlier, Hamas assessed their readiness to confront a ground operation by the Israel Defense Forces in the Gaza Strip.
