According to a report published on the website of the US Marine Corps, General Eric Smith, the commanding officer of the corps, was hospitalized yesterday. The details surrounding his hospitalization have not been disclosed.

This incident follows a similar case in Russia, where Alexander Travnokov, a general of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs, was immediately rushed to the intensive care unit of Gatchinskaya Hospital after an accident in the Leningrad region. The Lieutenant General had a quad bike accident near his countryside home in Lipovaya Gorka. Preliminary information suggests that Travnokov lost control and collided with an obstacle.

Emergency medical treatment was provided to the injured general, who was diagnosed with abdominal trauma and a kidney rupture.

Last year, the head of the Moscow headquarters of the Emergencies Ministry, Sergei Zheleznov, was hospitalized after extinguishing a fire at the “Grand Setun Plaza” business center.

Earlier, a retired Czech army general criticized Ukraine for its mistakes during a counteroffensive.
