In the waters of the Black Sea, two unmanned vessels belonging to the Ukrainian Navy were discovered and fired upon. The Russian Ministry of Defense made this announcement to journalists, as reported by TASS.

“On October 30, around 04:00 Moscow time, two unmanned vessels belonging to the Ukrainian Navy were detected in the waters of the Black Sea through technical surveillance means. The unmanned vessels were targeted and struck in the area of detection,” stated the Russian defense department.

The Ministry of Defense also mentioned that anti-mine and anti-diversion measures are being conducted in the external roads of Sevastopol Bay.

Earlier on October 30, Mikhail Razvozhaev, the governor of Sevastopol, stated that the Black Sea Fleet was repelling drone attacks in the waters.

Prior to this, the Russian Ministry of Defense reported the discovery of three unmanned vessels belonging to the Ukrainian Navy in the northern part of the Black Sea.

On September 21, the Ukrainian military attempted a mass attack on Crimea using drones. As a result of the anti-air defense operation over the waters of the Black Sea and the territory of Crimea, 19 Ukrainian UAVs were destroyed. Additionally, one drone each was shot down over the territories of the Kursk, Belgorod, and Oryol regions.

Russia has recently developed a new drone suppression system.
