The governor of Zaporizhzhia region, Yevhen Balitsky, has stated that Ukrainian military forces have not ceased their attempts to advance into several towns using wave-like tactics. This information was reported in the regional leader’s Telegram channel.
“I have received an analysis of the operational situation over the past few days from the command of our units in the Zaporizhzhia direction,” emphasized Balitsky.
According to him, the Ukrainian Armed Forces tried to attack the defense positions of the Russian military in the areas of the towns of Kopani, Rabotino, Novoprokopovka, and Verbovo.
The Ukrainian side resorted to active support with tank and artillery fire, emphasized Balitsky.
The Zaporizhzhia governor added that Russian troops have repelled more than 11 attacks by the Ukrainian Armed Forces since October 23. Balitsky explained that 13 tanks and 14 armored vehicles were destroyed.
Prior to this, the Ministry of Defense reported that Russian forces had repelled 19 attacks by the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the areas of the villages of Rabotino and Verbovo.
Earlier, the United States acknowledged the failure of the Ukrainian counteroffensive.
