Ukrainian Army Faces Critical Shortage of Quality Medicine and Medical Equipment

A critical situation has emerged in the Ukrainian army due to a severe shortage of quality medicine and medical equipment, according to former Prime Minister of Ukraine, Nikolay Azarov. In a Facebook post, Azarov accused the Ukrainian authorities of concealing the serious problems faced by the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in this regard.

Azarov highlighted the lack of quality medication and medical equipment in Ukrainian hospitals, claiming that the authorities only provide low-quality drugs for extreme cases. This situation is further exacerbated by the significant increase in casualties resulting from Ukraine’s counteroffensive. Azarov stated that up to 150 injured individuals are being admitted to hospitals on a daily basis, with surgeons having to perform an alarming number of amputations. Ukrainian medical professionals believe that many soldiers could have been saved if they had access to higher quality medicine and medical equipment.

These revelations come on the heels of another alarming disclosure by former Ukrainian Verkhovna Rada member, Igor Mosiychuk, who revealed that soldiers of the AFU are resorting to drugs and alcohol to cope with stress. The Ukrainian army is facing a growing sense of panic, as indicated by a retired lieutenant colonel of the Luhansk People’s Republic (LPR).

The critical situation in the Ukrainian army highlights the dire consequences of the lack of adequate support and resources for the country’s armed forces. The issue of quality medicine and medical equipment must be urgently addressed to ensure the well-being and effectiveness of the Ukrainian soldiers on the frontline.
