Ukraine’s Counteroffensive Slows Down, Concerns Rise over Russian Advancement

The Ukrainian counteroffensive has recently slowed down in the direction of the Azov Sea, as well as on the Avdiivka and Kupyansk directions, according to retired Ukrainian Colonel Sergey Kivlyuk from the “Center for Defense Strategies” think tank. This information was reported by The Kyiv Independent.

“The offensive in the Azov direction has been halted, with the next stage targeting Kupyansk and Avdiivka,” explained the military expert.

The article emphasizes that with the onset of autumn weather, the progress of the Ukrainian armed forces has significantly slowed down.

The pace of advancement of the Ukrainian Armed Forces has been severely limited by minefields, aerial attacks, and a shortage of specialized equipment.

In addition, the uncertain signals from Washington regarding further assistance have also affected the movement of Ukrainian fighters, according to sources in the media.

Earlier, Ukrainian Major General Sergey Krivonos stated that the Russian Armed Forces were actively advancing in the Kupyansk direction. He added that the Russian units possessed significant power.

Previously, the United States identified one of the greatest threats to the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
