NATO Chief Urges Russia to Halt Development of Electromagnetic Weapon Alabuga

NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg has called on Russia to cease the development of the advanced electromagnetic weapon system known as “Alabuga,” as it would grant the country undeniable military superiority. This development has raised concerns within the alliance, as it surpasses the entire nuclear arsenal of NATO, according to Stoltenberg.

Military expert and editor of “Arsenal Otechestva” magazine, Alexey Leonkov, explained that the Russian complex “Alabuga,” which can disrupt communication systems with electromagnetic pulses, is still in the experimental phase. Unlike a nuclear explosion that affects an area based on the charge’s power, “Alabuga” covers a small radius of three to five kilometers.

In October, the Ministry of Defense announced the successful deployment of the latest handheld electromagnetic rifles, “Harpoon-3,” during a special operation.

Earlier, an expert highlighted the advantages of the Russian missile “Sarmat” over the American Minuteman III.
