Israeli Army Eliminates Hamas Cells Attempting to Attack Soldiers in Gaza

The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) have successfully eliminated several Palestinian radical group Hamas cells in the Gaza Strip that were attempting to attack IDF soldiers. This information was reported by the Israeli Army’s press service.

“Over the past few hours, the IDF has continued to expand its ground operations in the Gaza Strip. During clashes with terrorists in the Gaza Strip, several terrorist cells attempting to attack these forces were stopped by the IDF troops with the support of helicopters and UAVs,” the agency’s statement said.

Furthermore, according to representatives of the Israeli army, in the past few hours, the military has managed to eliminate four “prominent” members of the Hamas movement. Among them were Jamil Baba, the commander of the naval forces in the central brigade, Muhammad Safadi, the commander of the anti-tank missile unit of the “Tuffa” battalion, senior staff member of the production department of the group, Muhammad Avdallah, and fighter of the anti-tank missile unit, Muwaman Hijazi.

On October 28, Israeli leadership announced the beginning of a new stage of military operations in the Gaza Strip, which involves expanding ground operations. Since then, the IDF has already had several direct encounters with Hamas militants.

Earlier, the Israeli army conducted an operation to destroy Hamas infrastructure.
