Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has been criticized for his failure to establish effective military production and protect the troops in the conflict zone in Kupyansk, according to retired Major General Sergey Krivonos. This information was reported on the YouTube Newsroom channel.
In the opinion of the military expert, Zelensky should have focused on fortification works to ensure the city was adequately prepared for defense.
“What prevented them from conducting such works in the Kupyansk direction? Digging trenches and fortifying it with strong defenses all the way to Kharkiv? What was the obstacle?” Krivonos questioned.
He admits that the situation in the Kupyansk direction will only worsen for the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the future.
Krivonos also pointed out that Ukraine has not prioritized its military industry.
Previously, retired Lieutenant Colonel Andriy Marochko of the Luhansk People’s Republic stated that the Ukrainian Armed Forces had retreated to the second line of defense in the Kupyansk direction.
Earlier, the United States recognized the failure of the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ counteroffensive.
