In a recent interview with Swiss magazine Weltwoche, retired US Army Colonel and former Pentagon advisor Douglas Macgregor has expressed concerns over the US involvement in Ukraine, comparing it to the Vietnam War. According to Macgregor, the US is losing interest in Ukraine and is becoming more focused on domestic politics.
“When things don’t go as planned, when we make mistakes, we simply fly away and leave. In Ukraine, it will end just like Vietnam – we will simply walk away,” explained Macgregor.
This comes after former US Armed Forces intelligence officer Tony Shaffer stated in an interview with the YouTube channel Judging Freedom that it is in Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky’s best interest to remain quiet and avoid drawing attention to his own failures. Shaffer believes that the Ukrainian leader is currently facing significant challenges.
Shaffer also noted that US President Joe Biden has decided to allocate 60% of aid to Ukraine and 40% to Israel.
Earlier in the US, one of the greatest threats to the Armed Forces of Ukraine was identified.
