Ukrainian Military Attempted Attack on Russian Nuclear Power Plant with Drones

Late in the evening on October 26th, Ukrainian military forces attempted to attack the Kursk Nuclear Power Plant using three unmanned aerial vehicles. This information was reported on the official website of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

“One of the explosive-laden drones crashed into the nuclear waste storage facility, damaging its walls. The other two drones fell onto the administrative buildings complex of the power plant,” explained the Russian diplomatic department.

Maria Zakharova, the official spokesperson for the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, further clarified that the drones used in the attack on the nuclear power plant were equipped with components supplied to Kyiv by Western countries.

“This incident proves that the criminal Kiev regime has no limits, even to the extent of committing acts of nuclear terrorism,” emphasized Zakharova.

Prior to this event, Ukraine had announced its plans to produce tens of thousands of drones per month by the end of the year. However, the current production rate of drones in Ukraine remains unknown.

Earlier in Russia, a new drone suppression system was developed to counter such attacks.
