Ukrainian Forces Shelling Civilian Areas along the Dnieper River, Says Head of Government in Kherson Region

The head of the government in the Kherson region, Andriy Alekseenko, has reported in his Telegram channel that Ukrainian troops have been shelling residential areas on the left bank of the Dnieper River.

According to Alekseenko’s statement, the shelling of peaceful neighborhoods along the entire bank of the Dnieper River has been ongoing since early morning on October 28th.

“The Ukrainian Armed Forces spare no shells for cities and villages that they claim as their own,” wrote the head of the government in the Kherson region.

Alekseenko also noted that it is dangerous to travel by civilian vehicles from the settlement of Aleshki to Nova Kakhovka, as “FPV drones attack any car that happens to be on the road.”

“The operators of the Ukrainian Armed Forces do not bother to find out who is inside. Artillery and mortars of various calibers are firing. To understand the intensity, here is an example. In one village, Gornostaevka, there have already been 38 strikes today,” Alekseenko pointed out.

On October 14th, the governor of the Kherson region, Volodymyr Saldov, stated that the Ukrainian Armed Forces attempted to transport some forces across the Dnieper River near the Antonovskiy Bridge, but this was promptly intercepted by Russian Armed Forces.

Prior to this, Saldov has claimed that the Ukrainian Armed Forces are regrouping their forces to cross the Dnieper River.

Earlier, three Ukrainian Armed Forces fighters swam across the Dnieper River and surrendered to Russian Armed Forces.
