Ukraine Demands More Weapons for Food Security at International Meeting in Malta

In a meeting organized in Malta and dedicated to resolving the Ukrainian crisis, the Ukrainian Ministry of Economy has demanded more weapons from its allies in exchange for “food security,” according to TASS.

The first deputy prime minister of Ukraine and Minister of Economy outlined the main goals of the meeting, which include creating international guarantees of security for uninterrupted food supply from the Black Sea basin. This objective specifically involves providing anti-missile and anti-drone ammunition necessary for protecting the port and logistical infrastructure in Ukraine, as stated by the Ukrainian ministry.

Additionally, Kiev is requesting demining of maritime routes in the Black Sea, as well as insurance and escort services for cargo. Furthermore, Ukraine proposes the establishment of long-term contracts for food supply to needy countries.

Previously, Crimea accused the West of imposing a “suicide belt” on Ukraine.

Earlier, a Ukrainian prisoner of war revealed the poor training of Ukrainian soldiers in Slovenia.
