Russian Submarine to be Transferred for Repairs in Kronstadt

The Russian submarine of project 636.3, “Krasnodar,” is planned to be transferred to Kronstadt from the Mediterranean Sea for repairs. TASS reports the withdrawal of the submarine from the naval fleet, citing its own sources in the shipbuilding industry.

The agency specifies that the ship will have to make an inter-fleet transition to the Baltic Sea. There is no information on when the submarine will be transferred to Kronstadt, only that it will happen “in the near future.”

“At the end of November, scheduled repairs of the ship will begin at the Kronstadt shipyard,” said a source to the agency.

Previously, it was reported that on September 13, the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) launched a missile strike on the Sevmorzavod, damaging the diesel-electric submarine “Rostov-on-Don” and the large landing ship “Minsk.”

On September 25, it was reported that the Russian submarine “Rostov-on-Don” of the Black Sea Fleet received non-critical damage that will not significantly increase the submarine’s planned repair time.

Earlier, the Prosecutor General’s Office linked a series of arson attacks on military registration and enlistment offices to Russia’s successes in the Eastern Military District.
